Edison award winning and Grammy nominated jazz musician and composer Christian Scott introduces the foundation and pedagogy behind Stretch Music. A genre blind, jazz rooted musical form that attempts to “stretch” jazz’s rhythmic, melodic and harmonic conventions to encompass as many other musical forms, vernacular, thought process and cultures as possible. This immersive workshop will be part lecture, part clinic, part jam session and packed with information on being a thriving artist. All levels welcome!
