The 761st – a Must See

Two weeks ago we screened a film by Pete Chatmon with our partners, the Black Documentary Collective.  This extraordinary film was looked at a piece of American history we are all too deprived of.  As I sat there watching, two things were swirling in my mind and heart – the pain of the legacy of racism in this country and how little we know about the details; and joy and fulfillment from hearing the sheer spirit and determination of those whose story was being told.  In the face of this unbelievable struggle at home, which was very much a struggle back then, they went off to fight a war for this country with as much courage and honor as any American – perhaps even more.  This story needs to be heard and seen by everyone.  Listen to the interview between Pete and Brian Pace, of the Pace Report and find a way to see this film:  Click here.
